Pretty much i recorded this outside of my house in michigan. I recorded 4 seconds and copy and paste, so it is about 8 seconds. The first section is played normally then i copied it and made it play reversed. This sound is loopable and free to use.

It annoyed me i couldn't find this atmosphere anywhere here, so i decided to build this for you: remember the classic "thunder rolls then a wolf howls" sound bed used on so many kids' shows back in the 1970's? well, here you go! this is uses the classic thunderclap by a freesound user whose name i can't remember but will ad when i do remember, some more classic moaning wind by me, a retro wolf howl performed by yours truly with added reverb on top. Recording of sea undertow on the beach of formicoli, vibo valentia, calabria, italy, the 19th agust 2022 16:44. The sound was recorder with a zoom h1n with windshield at a short distance from the crashing of the waves on the beach. The waves are driven by a light, gentle wind. The sound was recorded by holding the microphone in my hand while i dived knee-deep into the water and walk, filming the crashing of the waves (also on my legs). High-frequency sound details (the foam of the sea, the impact of waves on each other, etc. ) are much more audible here. Processing:* volume adjustment;* 120hz high pass filter (to reduce low some low frequencies rumble due to the wind);* cut and crossfade to eliminate very few mechanical noise of my hand on the mic;.

Recorded during riding by attaching a zoom h4n at my left leg. The xy-microphone pointed vertically direction to the seat/engine, so no spectacular stereo-sound, but different sound timbre on l/r. The exhaust had a rusted hole so it's not the original vespa-sound but more rough. Different styles of driving. Including starter and switching off. No sound editing was made, so maybe you like to filter away low frequencies (some little wind was behind the shield).

An odd sound: i set pocket recorder out hoping to capture some birdsong; a raven swooped down and made a couple of passes above it. Perhaps he was attracted by the colorful fuzzy windscreen? at any rate: recorded on an olympus ls-14, some wind in the trees in the background.

I recorded myself winding up an old wall-clock in my living room to use in a song. I used the built-in microphone in an ipad, re-recorded to cubase, added a bit of compression, a gate, and a limiter. It's a stereo file, but the sound is mono.

Recorded near a drainpipe, i have no idea what the bass wind sound in the background is. I think it was some sort of exhaust from the basement around, but i don't know why it turned off and on. In any case it makes for a very spooky ambient effect.

You will also hear some beautiful wind, footsteps, and some recently arrived spring migrants who are just as excited about the new semester and the humans. A recording made february 24th, 2019 in a residential section of a small midwestern town. . . The stiff north winds are rattling the remaining dry leaves. . . You will also hear the subtle singing of the birds that always greet you in late winter. . . Birds like house sparrows and starlings. From time to time, you'll hear the tinkly, nice sound of some wind-chimes hanging on the front porch of some house. I took a field recording on my back yard in a summer day. You can hear kids playing and laughing in the background. You can also hear birds, leaves moved by wind, a plane passing by and some cars in the far end. Recorded with zoom h4 sound recorder and senhheiser k6 me65 microphone.

A creepy sounding effect i made by altering my voice and applying a spooky wind effect in the background. Sadly, i don't remember exactly what i did to get this sound. Contains a high-pitched ringing portion that could perhaps be used for headache, memory loss, intense pain, etc. Have fun!.

The nt4 had quite a lot of top end hiss that i didn't really notice until too late.

1:56 field recording of exterior daytime environmental windy day in an exposed lincolnshire countryside location, but with mics completely shielded inside a bus-shelter for a less in your face perspective. Mics are pointed upwards into the wooden box roof of the shelter, which has added a somewhat eerie and disconcerting lower mid rumble to the scene. Recorded with a balanced stereo pair of mics and edited to remove intrusions.

Recorded on a damp night from a beach house at wrightsville beach, north carolina. Audio has been treated for some wind. The whole recording was like an hour long but i couldn't upload that much. Tip: to extend the sound, you can cross-fade this sample pretty much anywhere with itself and the effect is virtually unnoticeable.

Recorded in a backyard in kibbutz mefalsim, israel. 27/03/2020 friday afternoon 15:57 you can hear birds, the sound of leaves, wind and car on the road (the apartment is close to the main gate) you can also hear trucks leaving and entering the kibbutz's factory and tractors rushing towards the end of the day.

A recording made around 7:30pm at night in mid october of 2012 of leaves skittering across an asphalt street, making that unique, crackly sound. You will also hear a train off in the distance which i think adds to the sound-scape of fall. At 1:51 into the recording a car whooshes buy and with it, a cluster of leaves trailing behind it trying in vain to keep up. . . That's always been a wonderful sound sequence for me to hear. This is a very quick and dirty lo-fi recording of a very unsettling noise i am currently hearing outside of my 2nd story bedroom window. I have no clue what it could be. I have lived here for over a decade and never heard this sound. It's like wind, but it keeps fading in and disappearing again. When it starts, it sounding like very rapid, almost whistling, shallow breathing. I can't imagine what is making this sound, but it's pretty unnerving, and i'm too creeped out to open the curtains. I'm hoping someone can recognize this and tell me what this is because i'm starting to get very uncomfortable after about 10 minutes of hearing this on and off again. I am attempting to record it as it happens, so i've got several recorded instances of this if you want to hear more of it.
